Beautiful place!! Great views of the lakes in the east camp ground with close beach access!
Very good camping grounds always clean and easy to hook up for power.
I'm not one to complain, but this place is dirty! Cob webs, dead bugs, dirt.... the lady who runs it is a little off her rocker. Just don't think they should charge what they charge of they can't clean.... the condo is nice and roomy tho
The units were spotless! And incredibly less expensive than any resorts in Minnesota has charged us when we have traveled there, I don't really understand some of these reviews as this was not at all what I saw and experienced. My stay was so pleasant and I got to meet and talk with Jan and Charles who were very gracious hosts.
I had a cabin reserved for Sunday, July 3rd, 2016 on the east side through the state park. I called the resort & lodge today to reserve a boat for the 3rd and spoke to Katie. She was very friendly and told me there was a cabin available for that date on the west side and it would be no problem for me to call in tonight to give my credit card info to reserve it. She also told me it would be no problem to just rent a boat when we arrived on the 3rd. I canceled my reservation for the east side cabin (paid a $25. fee) and called in to give my card info for the west side cabin...Was told by someone else (I asked for his name twice, still unsure) that there are no available cabins and nothing is available period. There goes our first time to Roy Lake Resort.
We had such a great time and will be back without hesitation! We have already booked our family summer vacation! :) Katy
Two of my kids came in to see if there was hot chocolate and Jan wasn't sure where the stuff was so the kids came back out fishing. Apparently 10 minutes or so later, Charles heard that they were looking for hot chocolate and made them 2 large cups of hot chocolate and even walked out to the point where we were fishing to deliver them to my son and daughter. Now that is what I call service! Charles said he wouldn't accept any money for them due to the confusion. A+++ In my book!
My family had such a wonderful time there this winter Ice Fishing. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom condos over looking the lake. My husband and sons had a fabulous time fishing and so did I!
